Amplifying Trans Equality and
Visibility in Rural Nigeria.
Since 2018, we have diligently amplified trans visibility by challenging stereotypes and fostering inclusivity through our various awareness campaigns and advocacy, effectively breaking down barriers.
Our efforts to make an
impact is intentional.
In rural Nigeria, trans women experience various forms of human rights violations, violence, stigma, discrimination, and restricted access to healthcare and education. Our efforts are intentionally tailored to combat and provide our community with the support that they deserve.
Economic Empowerment
We implement empowerment programs to equip trans women with the tools they need for personal and professional growth. This includes initiatives such as vocational training, mentorship programs, and career development workshops.
Advocacy & Awareness
We actively engage in advocacy efforts to challenge discriminatory practices and policies affecting trans women. Through workshops, seminars, and community outreach programs.
Health and Well-being
We prioritize the health and well-being of trans women by providing access to healthcare resources, mental health support, capacity-building initiatives, and shelter.
What does it mean to be a trans woman?
There are many misconceptions and stereotypes about what it means to be a trans woman, especially in rural communities in Nigeria where there’s limited access to information and awareness about transgender issues.
